Challenge
JMP are a firm of solicitors based in Grantham and Warrington. JMP's Grantham office was in need of an equipment refresh and were relocating due to an expansion in the business.At this time, JMP decided this would be an opportunity to take control of IT services and implement a consistent approach across both offices. As there was no in-house IT function, this solution needed to come from outside the company. There was a desire to invest in a long-term, future proofed system to reduce capital spending on servers.

Approach and Solution
Datcom performed an audit of hardware and software systems and created a project plan to move all critical business software into the Datcom cloud platform. The fundamental factor to the project was to ensure that JMP would experience no downtime to the business applications during their working hours.Datcom recognised the need to work alongside JMP's specialist software vendor already in place and liaise directly with the vendor should problems arise with it.
Results
The Datcom cloud has eliminated the need for additional spending on servers and introduced the ability to adapt the system according to business demands easily and quickly.
The Datcom team, in acting as JMP's IT department, has taken responsibility for IT support and strategy, meaning that JMP can focus on their business.Datcom's ability to remotely manage the IT at both sites ensure prompt and effective resolutions should an issue arise.
