Microsoft Teams Raise Hand

Vendor: Microsoft

Product: Teams

Component: Meetings

Date: May 2020

What's New

We are all using Microsoft Teams more to communicate with one another. The majority of us are using calls and video meetings as the primary method of communication.

The voice and video feed can be slightly delayed, the delay causes awkward interruptions and 'flapping' between who is speaking next.

Microsoft Teams 'Raise Hand' feature will allow participants in meetings to raise a hand to ask a question.

How Does This Benefit Me?

  • Allows more efficient communication when using video meetings with more than two parties.

What's Next

  • You don't need to do anything, the change will be automatically deployed to your Office 365 tenant account.
  • To raise a hand use the navigation bar at the bottom of the Teams meeting. You can see who has a raised hand in the attendees window located on the right.
